April promises to be a very busy month for EndDD.org. We will be releasing the results from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia study on our 2012 EndDD.org presentation. We were able to change some attitudes and behaviors but need to do more. In keeping with our pledge to have the most effective science-based presentation possible,  the 2014 presentation and future presentations will be updated to reflect study results and will be even more effective.Distracted Driving

We will also release a brochure that will help us understand what distracted driving is, explain cognitive distractions, include some of the most important statistics about distracted driving, address why we ignore known risks of  driving distracted and what we can all do to drive safer.

Presentations will take place in more then 35 states in April and May.  Dianne and I  will be doing more than 25 presentations themselves in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, Georgia, Iowa and New York,  and our volunteer speakers will be doing hundreds of presentations. By the end of May we will have collectively spoken with more than 200,000 people since the EndDD.org campaign began. We will also remember Casey on April 6th for what would have been her 26th birthday.

Each of us has the power to save lives—Distracted driving crashes are 100% preventable

parentsParents:
If you have driven distracted with your children in the car change the way you drive today. Model safe non-distracted driving every time you drive.

teens Teens:
You have the power to decide how you will drive and how you expect to be driven by others. When driven distracted by others speak up, protect yourself and let others know you care about their safety.

employeersEmployers:
Talk with your employees about safe non-distracted driving and establish cell phone policies for your employees. Encourage them to speak with their families about safe driving. Lead by example.
