I spoke to several students about the role-play scenario you did on stage, and they all agreed that they frequently find it difficult to confront their own parents and grandparents about texting while driving. So many of our students were able to identify with the difficulty the girl on stage was having trying to convince her parent to be safe. Several kids I spoke to after the assembly saw themselves in that scenario and appreciated the solidarity they felt when you asked the audience to raise their hand if they had ever been in a similar situation. Thank you so much for bringing such a poignant issue to our community. I work with teenagers all day, so I know that decision making is often very difficult for them. Your compassionate and thoughtful presentation has changed behaviors.
