While in MA this week spreading the EndDD, distracted driving message, I had the pleasure to present to employees, customers and guests at Mastria Mazda in Raynham, outside Boston. The presentation was scheduled by the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorney’s past president, Mike Conley, whose son works at Mastria Mazda. I am always thrilled when a business wants to carry the distracted driving awareness message to its employees and beyond, since distracted driving is not just a teen issue. Adults need to get the message as well.
I received a very warm welcome at the dinner event held in Mastria’s showroom and was pleased by the interest and engagement of those present. While I often receive thank yous and positive comments personally after a presentation and did at Mastria, my wife also received an email from Samantha Custodio, Mastria’s Marketing Assistant.
I share it here so that friends, supporters, speakers and all may know that we are making a difference, one step at a time:
I wanted to let you know that Joel’s words were truly moving and many employees came up to me last night and this morning to say they never realized how dangerous their own driving really was until this presentation. I had many vow, including myself, to never drive distracted again. Personally, I had a talk with my fiancé last night when I was home because I know we were both guilty of texting each other while the other was driving. I told him all the stories I heard last night including Casey’s and we both vowed together we would never text or call each other while we knew the other was driving and to no longer drive with any distractions present. I can’t thank you, Joel, your organization and EndDD enough for having this presentation at our dealership. I truly believed it changed the mindset of many people that attended and opened their eyes to the true dangers of distracted driving.
Thank you Mastria Mazda!
