The Pennsylvania Association for Justice(PAJ) becomes the most recent employer to implement safe driving policies.
The Pennsylvania Association for Justice(PAJ)recently implemented new safe driving policies for its managers and support staff. The managers will not call staff when they know they are driving, nor will they require immediate responses from staff to calls. Staff will not text when driving, will wait until they pull over to retrieve messages and will discontinue calls if they learn the recipient is driving. Craig Giangiulio, Executive Director stated that “this policy recognizes that there really is no business important enough to place employees and members of the public at risk through unsafe driving behaviors.” A growing number of businesses are adopting similar policies following the example set by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety( NETS).
