Through the generosity of The Original Inside Pocket Company, The Casey Feldman Foundation will receive 5% of the profits on pre-orders of luxury hoodies and fleeces in an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign launched today. The inside pockets on the hoodies and fleeces store mobile devices while users drive, bike or walk, reducing the temptation to make or receive texts or calls.” When the orders are filled each jacket will include a distracted driving message from EndDD.org
Joel Feldman and Dianne Anderson founded the Casey Feldman Foundation and its sponsored project, EndDD.org (End Distracted Driving) after their 21 year-old daughter, Casey was killed by a distracted driver in 2009. Through its educational awareness campaign and the help of volunteer speakers, the End Distracted Driving presentation has been provided across the United States and Canada to nearly 300,000 students, all without cost to schools.
The partnership with EndDD.org was a natural for Brad Dubrowsky, founder of the Original Inside Pocket Company, who started sewing pockets on the inside of his favorite sweatshirts and shirts some eight or nine years ago as a place to store his phone. “Like everyone else, I carry my phone with me everywhere and the temptation to look at it constantly is very difficult to resist. I thought that the inside pocket would help to keep me safe. That was how our name came about,” stated Dubrowsky.
Alarmed at the distracted driving epidemic and wanting to do more about it, Brad decided to produce his inside pockets in fashionable fleece jackets as a way to help facilitate change in the behavior of others. Brad and his partner, Jamie Zaroff quickly discovered EndDD.org and decided to go farther by donating 5% of the pre-order profits to EndDD to enable End Distracted Driving to continue its educational efforts and reach even more students. In memory of Casey, Brad named one of the ladies’ hoodie designs, “The Casey”.

About the Jackets
All internal pockets and seams are reinforced with triple needle cover stitching, allowing for stretch and movability. The rib is a 2×2 knit, made with lycra for maximum stretch and shape recovery. Zippers are anodized metal YKK 2-way technology, allowing the coats to be zipped down from the neck or zipped up from the waist.
The Original Inside Pocket Company products are made in boutique factories in small batches. The design team has a combined 30+ years in the fashion industry. Workmanship is guaranteed for 10 years of free mending.
