“What distractions would you give up to save your child’s life?”
In our 30 second PSA we target parents and their distracted driving behaviors.
More than 90% of teens who have seen an EndDD.org presentation say that their parents will frequently drive distracted with them in the car. Studies show that teens who grow up in a household where mom and dad drive distracted are 2-4 times more likely to also drive distracted. Our children learn by watching us and they are learning from mom and dad that it is okay to text, use cell phone, apply make-up, program a GPS or do a number of things while behind the wheel that take their eyes and mind off of driving. No one, including parents should drive distracted. Maybe parents will get away with it for a while but their inexperienced children will not. Parents must be better role models for their children and give up their driving distractions to protect their children.
Be the driver you want your teen to be.
